Gold

The beauty of gold is that it will not tarnish or rust, making it capable of lasting a lifetime.

Gold is measured in karats (K) ranging from 24K to 9K. The higher the karat the more pure the gold is. The purer the gold is, the more yellow it is.
Yellow Gold

18K gold is the most popular and versatile form of gold because of its strength and beauty.

It contains 75% gold making it slightly less yellow.

White Gold

White gold can be 18K or 14K gold that has been alloyed with a combination of either silver, palladium, nickel or zinc giving it a dull grayish white appearance.

18K white gold contains 75% gold and a mixture of 25% alloyed metals. It is then plated with rhodium which gives it a shiny white appearance.

Rose Gold

Rose gold is often considered the prettiest gold colour as it has a range of beautiful pink shades.

Generally, rose gold contains 75% gold, 22.25% copper and 2.75% silver.

Platinum

Platinum is best known for its beautiful cool white sheen and is considered the finest metal used in jewellery today. It will not wear or tarnish.

Most platinum today is made with 90 to 95% platinum and the balance is a combination of palladium, iridium, ruthenium and other alloys.
